Information we collect and why

Service providers

We use Supabase for authentication and app data, RevenueCat for subscription management, PostHog for product analytics, and Sentry for errors and performance. In-app feedback can be stored in Supabase and sent to our support inbox through Resend. Cloudflare provides domain/email-routing services; the website is hosted through Cloudflare. Hosting and email providers process technical request and message information needed to deliver, secure, and operate those services.

Apple, Google, and your email or sign-in provider also process information under their own privacy policies when you use their services.

Advertising and sale of information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not show advertising in the app or share your information with advertisers for their marketing.

Storage and security

Account and synced practice records are stored with Supabase. The native app stores login sessions using the device's secure credential storage. Practice history, pending uploads, and cached question content are stored locally in app storage. The web version uses browser storage for its login session and local data. Clearing local practice history does not by itself delete synced server records.

We use encrypted connections and account-based access controls to protect app data. No system can guarantee complete security.

Retention and account deletion

Account and practice records are retained to provide your account and history. You can initiate account deletion from the app's Account screen or request assistance at support@firefighterexamprep.com. The app's deletion process removes the main account, synced practice records, subscription-access record, and locally cached practice data on that device. It also removes stored billing-event records from our app database and clears the account link and contact-email field from stored feedback.

Feedback message text and diagnostics can remain after that operation, including personal details you put in the message. Copies in email, analytics, crash reporting, subscription providers, or backups are not all removed automatically by the in-app deletion process. Contact us for a request covering these records.

Some information is not removed immediately because it is held by service providers with their own retention schedules. As of the effective date above: PostHog (analytics) and Sentry (error and performance reports) each retain data for up to 30 days. Resend (support email delivery) retains message data for up to 30 days, and its backups for up to 7 days; messages already delivered to our support inbox follow that mailbox provider's own retention for deleted mail, typically 30 days. Our database provider's backups and platform logs may retain deleted information for up to 7 days. We also request removal of the subscription-management record tied to your account from RevenueCat, though that step is manual rather than automatic today. These periods reflect our providers' standard terms and may change; contact us if you'd like confirmation that a specific record has expired.

Deleting your app account does not cancel your App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel it separately in the store's subscription settings.

Your choices

Contact support@firefighterexamprep.com to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, or to ask about analytics and privacy choices. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account. The current app does not provide an analytics opt-out switch.
